General Accounting / Administrative Assistant (Fremont, CA)
Position Summary
The General Accounting / Administrative Assistant role is responsible for general accounting duties, payroll processing, HR duties and administrative support to the COO. Position requires a high degree of initiative, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to balance and successfully prioritize and accomplish multiple objectives.
Responsibilities
- General accounting duties including payroll processing, accounts payable, and month-end close
- General administrative duties including word processing, copying, filing, and scheduling for COO
- Assist in HR tasks such as researching Benefits alternatives and administering New Hire paperwork
- Assist in Sales tasks such as research, preparing sales documents
- Assist with Finance and Accounting tasks such as reconciliations, research, data entry and audit coordination
- Setting up and maintaining files
- Responsible for taking inbound phone calls
- Other duties as assigned by the COO
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required
- At least 5 years accounting experience
- Experience with Quickbooks required
- Experience with ADP payroll
- Computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint and ability to learn new programs as needed
- Experience with HR tasks
- Demonstrated initiative in problem solving, planning and organization
- Project management skills and attention to detail a plus
- Flexible work habits; ability to adapt to variety of tasks and priorities
- Excellent communication, phone & writing skills
- Ability to work with financial data, accounting and finance skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision

Senior Mobile Banking Software Engineer (Fremont, CA)
Position Summary
MShift is looking for a dynamic and motivated Mobile Banking Software Engineer to join their Mobile Banking team to develop and deploy the next generation mobile banking solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for a spectrum of assignments from working on new products, system and product enhancements, and systems architecture to bug fixes.
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end mobile banking applications including development on mobile phones, Web servers, Application Servers, Database Servers
- Work with the MShift Mobile SDK to integrate new clients
- Provide tight integration with Financial Institutions
- Extend current mobile banking features and functionality
- Work with Support, Marketing, and Sales personnel to define project requirements, and identify and diagnose issues
Required Skills
- 3+ years in Software engineering
- 3+ years experience in banking industry
- 3+ years experience with MShift Mobile SDK
- 3+ years of experience building and deploying software in secure Linux environments
- 3+ years of experience with online banking protocols
- Expert knowledge of banking security requirements
- Expert knowledge of Internet over mobile phones
- Expert knowledge of WML, HTML, Java, and security on mobile phones
- Expert knowledge of Linux internals
- Expert knowledge of configuring and deploying highly distributed and scalable Web software architectures
- Expert knowledge of emerging mobile architectures including IPhone, RIM, Android, and Windows CE
- Ability to learn new tools
- Highly motivated and independent
- Excellent communication skills
- Very good problem solving skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related area
