Hands High Software has introduced ThoughtManager 2.0, a project manager and note-taker for the Palm platform. At $20, ThoughtManager 2.0 adds the ability to share outlines with other ThoughtManager users and the ability to save outlines as templates. AppForge Inc. introduces the AppForge toolkit for Visual Basic, the first Palm OS development environment for Visual Basic programmers. This toolkit provides novice and professional developers with a fast and easy method for creating Palm OS–based applications. The toolkit ($299 initially) comprises three components: AppForge Add-in is a Visual Basic enhancement for mobile handheld development; AppForge Ingots are ActiveX controls that are compatible on handheld platforms; and AppForge Runtime is the code for running applications on the handheld.
