AutoConverter
The MobileShift® AutoConverter
Suite consists of a set of programs that are capable of
automatically converting applications from one mobile
markup language to another, for the purpose of extending
the reach of mobile applications created for a particular
device type, across a wide variety of mobile devices.
For example, iMode or WindowsCE applications can be automatically
made available on WAP phones. The conversion is done on
the fly and has support for multiple international languages,
graphics, user input fields, and session management, thereby
delivering complete functionality after the conversion.
The MobileShift® AutoConverter
is available as an in-house, as well as an ASP solution.
In-House Solution:
With this solution, the customer can license the MobileShift®
AutoConverter software and install it on their servers,
behind their firewall. This solution gives customers the
flexibility to customize and manage their own copy of
the MobileShift®AutoConverter software.
The in-house solution is suitable for
businesses that generate applications in one mobile markup
language and wish to deliver the same application in several
other mobile markup languages. For example, applications
developed for iMode phones and PDA's such as PalmOS and
PocketPC devices can instantly be made available on WAP
and HDML phones. Application providers can install the
MobileShift® AutoConverter on their own servers and
customize it according to their needs.
